Toni Hiltunen Eliminated in 8th Place (£108,600)

Toni Hiltunen - 8th Place
Toni Hiltunen - 8th Place
Hand #50:

Ivan Demidov has the button in Seat 6. Stanislav Alekhin opens with a raise to 42,000 from under the gun and the action folds around to Toni Hiltunen who re-raises, making it a total of 100,000 to go. Alekhin, always methodical, thinks for a bit before putting Toni to a decision for all of his chips. Hiltunen makes the call and a showdown ensues:

Hiltunen: {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}
Alekhin: {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

By the turn, the board had run out queen-high -- {3-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {6-Spades} {Q-Hearts} -- and Hiltunen was drawing dead. The river, though irrelevant, was the {K-Hearts}.

Alekhin improved to 2,187,000 in chips after the hand. Hiltunen will take home £108,600 in prize money for his efforts.

Hand #51 - Daniel Negreanu

There is a dead button in Seat 7. Daniel Negreanu raises to 38,000, Ivan Demidov calls and Stanislav Alekin calls from the big blind. The flop is {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}. The action is checked to Negreanu, who bets 80,000. Both his opponents fold and Negreanu wins the pot.

Robin Keston Eliminated in 7th Place (£135,750)

Hand #52 -

Scott Fischman has the button in Seat 8. Ivan Demidov raises to 38,000, Robin Keston moves all in and Demidov calls.

Keston {A-Clubs} {8-Hearts}

Demidov {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}

The flop is {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {4-Hearts}, Demidov's nines still leading. The turn is the {9-Clubs}, making Demidov a set, but opening up a flush draw for Keston. The river, though is the {6-Diamonds} and Keston's Main Event comes to an end with a seventh-place finish. He'll take home £135,750 for his efforts.

Hand #53 - John Juanda

Stanislav Alekhin has the button in Seat 9. John Juanda opens the pot with a raise to 46,000 and steals the blinds and antes. John flashed his hand -- a pair of tens -- before returning his cards to the dealer.

Hand #55:

Daniel Negreanu has the button in Seat 2. Ivan Demidov opens with a raise from under the gun to 39,000. Scott Fischman makes the call, as does Stanislav Alekhin, sending the action three-way to the flop: {J-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}.

First to act, Demidov checks to Fischman who leads out with a 45,000 bet. Alekhin then opts to raise, sliding a stack worth 135,000 into the middle. Demidov folds, and Fischman responds by moving all in. Stanislav quickly calls and turns over the {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} for the nut Broadway straight; Fischman tabled the {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} for top pair and a gutshot straight draw.

The turn and river brought running fours -- both black -- and Alekhin's straight held up, eliminating Scott Fischman from the tournament in sixth place.

'The Russian' now has over 2.5 million in chips.
