Hand #91 - Ivan Demidov

Bengt Sonnert has the button in Seat 4. Daniel Negreanu opens for a raise to 48,000 and Ivan Demidov calls. The flop comes down {A-Spades} {6-Hearts} {5-Clubs}. Demidov checks, Negreanu bets 50,000 and Demidov calls. The {2-Diamonds} lands on the turn and both players check. The river is the {2-Spades} and they check it down again.

Demidov shows {4-Spades} {5-Spades} for two pair and wins the pot.

Hand #93 - Daniel Negreanu

Ivan Demidov has the button in Seat 6. The action is folded around to Stanislav Alekhin in the small blind, who completes. Daniel Negreanu checks his option and they see a flop of {10-Spades} {7-Clubs} {3-Spades}. Alekhin checks it over to Negreanu, who bets 20,000. Alekhin mucks and Negreanu wins the pot.

Hand #94 - Stanislav Alekhin

Stanislav Alekhin has the button in Seat 9. Action folds around to Ivan Demidov who makes it 54,000 to go. Alekhin makes the call and the two Russians go heads-up to the flop: {9-Clubs} {3-Spades} {6-Spades}.

Both players check the flop and the {8-Diamonds} falls on 4th Street. Ivan checks once more to Alekhin who bets 100,000. Ivan quickly folds and Alekhin takes down the pot.

Crowded House

The later the hour grows, the more people arrive at the Empire to watch the action. The stands around the final table are now completely full and spectators are lined up and down both staircases that flank the downstairs bar. A few more pint glasses are also turning up in the hands of audience members. As a result the background volume has gone up considerably but thus far the players appear to be unaffected by the ambient noise.

Hand #95 - Bengt Sonnert

Daniel Negreanu has the button in Seat 2. He raises to 48,000, Bengt Sonnert reraises to 150,000 from the small blind, John Juanda gives up his big blind, Negreanu folds as well and Sonnert wins the pot.

Hand #96 - Ivan Demidov

Bengt Sonnert has the button in Seat 4. Daniel Negreanu opens with a raise to 48,000 from the cutoff and Ivan Demidov makes the call from the big blind.

The flop comes {Q-Hearts} {6-Spades} {8-Clubs} and both players check. The {3-Diamonds} falls on the turn and Ivan leads out with a 55,000 bet that prompts Negreanu to fold.
