Hand #74 - Bengt Sonnert

Stanislav Alekhin has the button in Seat 9. Action folds around to Ivan Demidov who raises to 52,000. Daniel Negreanu makes the call from the small blind, as does Bengt Sonnert in the big and the flop comes: {8-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {A-Spades}.

All three players check both the flop and the rest of the board, which fills out {9-Hearts}, {10-Diamonds}.

At the showdown, Sonnert tables {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs} for a pair of tens and Negreanu and Demidov muck, giving Sonnert the checkmark.

Hand #75 - Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu has the button in Seat 2. Stanislav Alekhin raises to 55,000 and Negreanu calls. The flop is {A-Hearts} {10-Spades} {5-Clubs}. Alekhin checks to Negreanu, who bets 80,000. Alekhin folds and Negreanu takes down the pot.

Hand #76 - John Juanda

Bengt Sonnert has the button in Seat 4 and limps into the pot. John Juanda also limps from the small and Ivan Demidov checks his option in the big, creating three-way action heading into the flop: {4-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {K-Spades}.

Juanda leads out with a 54,000 bet that is called only by Sonnert.

The turn brings the {10-Spades} and Juanda fires again, this time making it 124,000 to go. Sonnert makes a quick call and we're off to the river -- the {Q-Diamonds}.

Both players check and at the showdown, Juanda tables {K-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} for two pair, which is good enough to take down the pot.

Hand #79 - Bengt Sonnert

Stanislav Alekhin has the button in Seat 9. Ivan Demidov opens for a 56,000 raise, and Bengt Sonnert moves all in from the big blind. Unable to pull the trigger, Demidov folds and Sonnert wins the pot.

Hand #80 - Bengt Sonnert

Daniel Negreanu has the button in Seat 2. Action folds around to Bengt Sonnert who limps in from the small blind. John Juanda checks his option in the big and the flop comes {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {6-Spades}.

Sonnert then led out with a smallish 20,000 bet -- the smallest you can make in fact -- and Juanda laid down his hand.

Hand #81 - Bengt Sonnert Doubles Through Ivan Demidov

Nice turn card!
Nice turn card!
Bengt Sonnert has the button in Seat 4. He raises to 50,000 and Ivan Demidov reraises to 123,000. Sonnert moves all in and Demidov calls.

Sonnert {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}

Demidov {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}

The flop is {9-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {4-Hearts}, no help for Sonnert but the {A-Clubs} lands on the turn, giving him a stay of execution. The river is the {7-Clubs} making him two pair and Sonnert lives to play another hand.

Sonnert is now up to 1,083,000 while Demidov dips to 1,693,000.
