El-Shater Pushes Hougaard Off a Pot, as Railers Start Pushing Things Off the Balcony

Jesper Hougaard once again made it 20,000 from the cutoff, and this time big blind Joseph El-Shater pushed all in for 101,000 total. At this point there was a brief pause in the action, as one of the balcony railers managed to lose his grip on his drink and it came crashing down onto the casino floor below, narrowly missing the players on Table One. Perhaps shaken by his fellow players' near-death experience, Hougaard passed.

Tricky Limp

The turn was out giving us a {Q-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {7-Spades} {10-Clubs} board, and judging by the amount of chips in the middle it was a limped pot and both players had checked on the flop.

John Dwyer checked once more from the small blind and then called a 26,000 bet from Jesper Hougaard in the big blind.

The river came {Q-Clubs} and once again Dwyer checked to face a bet from Hougaard totaling 35,000. Dwyer called pretty quickly with {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} and it was good for the pot.

Bommes Had the Goods

Costas Artemi limped in from UTG, Fuad Serhan limped from the cutoff, Christoph Bommes completed the small blind and Ian Woodley checked from the big. The flop came down {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} {7-Diamonds}. The action was checked to Artemi, who bet 20,000. Serhan min-raised to 40,000, eliciting an all-in shove from Bommes. Both Artemi and Serhan gave up their hands, Bommes revealing {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} in the hole for top two pair.

It's a Chop?

Costas Artemi raised to 30,000 from the button, Fuad Serhan moved all in from the button and Artemi made the call. Serhan flipped up {A-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}, and a disgusted Artemi slapped his dominated {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs} on the table.

The board, though ran out {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {A-Spades}.

"Aces and kings with a ten" said their tablemate Adam Junglen, relieving Artemi who thought he was out. Instead, they chopped the pot.

"Come on, Danny Boy!"

No-one seems to believe Jesper Hougaard when he raises any more.

This time he made it 20,000 to go from the button, and was swiftly called by Daniel Nutt in the big blind. They both tentatively checked the {K-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {5-Hearts} flop. The turn came down the {6-Hearts} and Nutt checked it again. Hougaard now bet 23,000, but Nutt made it a huge 93,000. Hougaard dwelled for a while, his decision probably not made any easier by the railers above his head cheering wildly for Costas Artemi on the other table. At last he folded, to screams of, "Come on Danny, boy, hey hey! Gwaaaan!" from the increasingly inebriated fans in the upstairs bar.
