It's obvious that this room in the Empire Casino is more used to parties, possibly with high rollers and scantily clad women, as opposed to WSOP finals, as there's a swanky bar on the one side of the room where we are based.
An alluring array of liqueur sits patiently on the transparent shelves, all devilishly tempting us into a swift session of tea-leaving whilst all eyes are on the featured table.
However, as alluded to at the start of this post, we are men of honour and couldn't possibly lower ourselves to such antics. Also, Pauly singing the Macarena after one shot would be a dead giveaway.
Dominic Kay has a much more hands on approach. When faced with a raise from John Tabatabai, he simply reached for a big pile of chips, pushed it across the table and announced "I bet that much!"
No messing around, he took down the pot.
John Tabatabai raises to 40k preflop, Dominic Kay in the small blind re-raises to 194k. Tabatabai passes.
Magnus Persson makes it 29,000 to go. Annette Obrestad in the small blind raises to 130,000. Magnus asks for a countdown... and passes.
