First of all, Jamie Gold called a raise to 5,800 from Jon Turner on the button. When Turner bet out on the flop, Gold raised another 15k on top of his 7,500. A pass from Turner - he was shown Gold flopped set: . "It would have been sick if you'd moved in. I'd have called, but I'd have felt sick," commented Gold.
Then a decision was put to yoyoing John Tabatabai - again against Turner, who seems to play almost as many pots. Turner had check-raised on a board of by 17k, which was about a third of his remaining chips. Tabatabai went into the tank, and when he came up for air, it was to throw his hand away unhappily.
The chips on that table look like:
Dominic Kay -- 225,000
Andreas Bergren -- 61,700
James Keys -- 110,300
Jon Turner -- 110,000
Jeff Buffenbarger -- 65,700
John Tabatabai -- 58,500
Jamie Gold -- 160,000
Marcello Marigliano -- 119,400
Over at the featured TV table, Daniel Negreanu moved all in for his last 26,500. Patrik Antonius went into the tank for two minutes before he folded his big blind. Negreanu won the blinds and antes.
Ian Frazer has been moved to the same table as Kenny Tran. Its getting a little heated after Tran started telling Frazer what he thought he had.
"I must be surrounded by professionals I'm getting all these free poker lessons. You should go on TV and give up all this brilliant advice," Frazer retorted.
"They couldn't afford my fee," Tran remarked back.
Over at the featured TV table, I caught the action on a flop of . Janne Lamsa fired out 11,000. Daniel Negreanu raised to 50,000. Lamsa moved all in for 107,000. Negreanu went into the tank and eventually called.

Over at the featured TV table, Hoyt Corkins moved all in for 31,900. Johannes Korsar re-raised all in and everyone else folded.

The flop was and Corkins picked up a gutshot straight draw. The turn was the and Corkins added two more outs, which he desperately needed if he expected to survive. The river was the and Korsar's Queens held up. Cowboy Hoyt Corkins headed to the rail under a warm round of applause from the audience.
The tournament directors here are in jovial spirits, retelling me of how they demanded sponsorship from Betfair to play the circuit. Apparently, Betfair welcomed the idea and offered to put them in all their freerolls - they have to pay for their own shirts though.
As we enter the last level prior to lunch, I'm hoping for a flurry of exits in order to decrease the length of the buffet queue. At one point, one of the players requested a new band pass as his had snapped off, but the initial response was negative with the TD saying, "Nope, sorry, you're going to have to starve." I think the TDs are thinking along the same lines with regards to the buffet which will certainly help the cause.
