Like the pied piper of poker players, the TD leads an eclectic ensemble of "athletes" up to the top floor to join the outer tables. One of those players is Dave "El Blondie" Colclough.
Accompanied by a 100k+ stack, El Blondie has joined a tough table, the likes of Jani Sointula, Gary Jones, Janne Lamsa and WSOP finalist Phillip Hilm -- all standing in his way of progressing into Day 3 of this WSOPE Main Event.
After busting Greg Raymer and Hendon Mobster Ram Vaswani at the feature table, Gus Hansen has increased his stack to over 300,000. Hansen's K-K held up against Vaswani's A-Q. Vaswani busted out and Hansen has jumped out to a massive chip lead.
Bruno Fitoussi is out. He fell at the hands of Neil Pearson, a British actor best known for a 1990's sitcom called "Drop the Dead Donkey" (hence the title).
Bruno got all his money in with and was called by Pearson's . No improvement for either man, so Big Slick sent Fitoussi home.

Down to only 15,000 chips and with tilt-steam practically rolling out of his ears, Phil Hellmuth has come out of his chair altogether and is engaged in some form of bizzare prayer/meditation, contorted into the "Thinker" pose with one knee on the ground and his head in his right hand. His chips lie in an uncountable lake in front of him as he nods his head along with the gangsta rap that is undoubtedly blasting out of his iPod and into his ears. The cameras have been on him nonstop, waiting for the inevitable blowup.
John Ridge, in danger of dwindling, just received a double through from Jeff Lisandro by calling his way to victory with the . He called 4k preflop, 8k on the flop of , and all in (roughly 20k) on the turn. At this point, Lisandro had to show the with which he'd actually hit the turn, but the river was a blank and there is now 40k in front of Ridge.
Two of the biggest stacks in the tournament are now facing off against each other. Annette_15 and Huseyin Yilmaz are now seated opposite each other, with over 350,000 between them. Both are very aggressive and a big pot between these two could almost gaurantee a final-table place for the winner.
