Dave Colclough on the button gave short stack Ang Leng a call when he moved in preflop. El Blondie held to Leng's and despite fervent requests for "Jack or a pair!" on the flop and turn, it was not to be and his tournament came to an end as they broke the second table.
Janne Lamsa, who was last sighted by my Beagle eyes at the Grand Prix de Paris, has extended his chip lead by eliminating table neighbour and fellow bald header, Sami Pulliainen.
All-in pre-flop, initial raiser Lamsa () was relieved to see Pullianinen turn over for the coin flip, and although the flop and turn brought a harmless , the river wasn't as forgiving and Pullianen was a gonna.
This phrase was repeated like a broken record in the furious first ten minutes of play downstairs, causing TV cameramen and reporters alike to scurry back and forth across the small, crowded room. Four players were eliminated in rapid succession and one table (13) has already broken.
Greg Raymer is going into a monologue about using your phones at the table. He has already prewarned everyone that he doesn't want to declare their cards dead if he catches them on their cells during a hand. He also believes maybe players shouldn't use ipods at the table.

A threeway flop between blinds Tim Seidensticker, Eric Seidel and Konstantinos Panikidis brought the and no interest professed by any player. Triple check, and then the turn came the . Now Seidensticker stuck in half of his stack (try saying that ten times fast), 10k. Seidel thought for a while and then put him all-in (the third player getting out of the way). Seidensticker was only too happy to shove the rest in with his flop set of Kings () and Seidel, looking for an Ace with his , didn't find one.
Players will play a minimum of 4 levels today and tomorrow, and will return on Friday for Day 3. Day 3 will play down until the money is reached (36 players), at which time play will be suspended until the start of play for Day 4 on Saturday. Day 4 will play down until the final table is reached (could be a looooong day) and the nine players who survive on Saturday will return on Sunday for the Final Table.
Given the field size, and the fact that Day 2 has been split over two days, it is likely that 4 levels will be the maximum played today, as the tournament staff cannot risk making it near the money given the field is split.
