The Choirboy out in Front

Chip Leader Gary Jones
Chip Leader Gary Jones
Gary Jones is by far the chip leader right now with 90,000. He has played a patient disciplined game all day and appears to be very comfortable with all 5 disciplines of HORSE.

Jan Sorensen is the closest to him with 79,000 and Joe Beevers is a little behind that with 50,000.

Wandering around

We are close to a break so to keep you updated on the gossip on the floor.

Mark Vos has formed an even less sturdy chip tower and Jen Harman took a break from the table to admire it.

Todd Brunson, Ted Forrest, Devilfish, Marcel Luske and Annette_15 are all watching from the rail.

Chris Ferguson, Joe Beevers and Jeff Madsen were all discussing how young they were when they first started playing poker. They all started at school and Beevers suggested poker be part of the school curriculum.

Mark Tenner Eliminated

Mark Tenner
Mark Tenner
STUD 8 OR BETTER-- Mark Tenner was involved in a three-way pot with Scott Fischman and Barny Boatman. Here's how their boards looked on sixth street:

Tenner {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Boatman {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Fischman {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Fischman checked, Tenner bet, Boatman raised, Fischman folded after much hemming and hawing, Tenner moved in his last 2,100, and Boatman tossed in one more gray 100 chip. Tenner flipped over {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a full house and a busted low draw but Boatman showed {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} in the hole, having made trips on fourth street and quads on sixth.

After his elimination, Tenner paused to chat with his tablemate, Jen Harman, who consoled him, saying, "at least you went out with a boat."

Its what you do with them that counts

Marks attempt to reach the moon with his chips were thwarted
Marks attempt to reach the moon with his chips were thwarted
It may seem like Mark Vos is doing so well with his leaning tower of chips but dont be fooled, the gray chips are only 100s.

Whatever makes him feel secure.

The floor manager has come along to warn him that his chip stack is a disaster waiting to happen.

"Its a limit tournament, I'm so bored" he replied
