Basle Bests Argyros

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Mohammed Elkassir limped in from under the gun before Billy Argyros raised to 2,400 from the cutoff. Harry Basle called from the button. Roy Vandersluis came along from the blinds. Elkassir made it four to the flop.

The dealer produced the {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop and the action checked to Argyros who continued for 6,000. Basle called. Vandersluis and Elkassir folded.

Both players checked the {10-Diamonds} on the turn before the {k-Hearts} completed the board.

Argyros checked, then mucked rather quickly, after Basle threw out a bet totalling 7,500.

"I'll show you," said Basle, before revealing {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts} for the nut flush.
