Chao Duan has just shown he's come to play, going with his read to make a big call on the river in a sizable pot against Duy Vu.

Duan had taken down the previous hand with a 250,000 button raise, and the following hand saw Duy Vu pop it up to 260,000 from under-the-gun, with Duan responding with a three-bet to 650,000 from the cutoff.

Vu made the call to take play heads-up to a flop of {3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Clubs} with both players checking to bring in the {5-Hearts} turn. This is where things started to get interesting, with Vu leading large with a bet of 1-million.

Duan likes to think over his decisions and a lengthy visit to the think tank followed, but the Chinese player did eventually chose to call to keep the duo in action to the {q-Diamonds} river.

Vu reached for chips once more, cutting out a bet of 1.4-million which sent Duan deep into thought. After a couple of minutes in the tank, an impatient Steven Zhou called for the clock, giving Duan 40-seconds and with just 2 seconds remaining on the timer, Duan slammed down the call.

It was good, Vu rolled over {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Duan triumphantly tabled {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the best hand and chunky pot. What a call.
