First Blood for Hassan; Rails Salter

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Adrian Salter
Adrian Salter

The first casualty of the day took just 20-minutes of the first level, with Huss Hassan picking up where he left off on the feature table on Day 2.

Hassan opened the action from the button with a raise to 80,000 and small blind Adrian Salter responded with a three-bet shove for 435,000 in total. After mulling it over for a few seconds, Hassan shrugged and pushed in the extras and the two revealed their hole cards.

Huss Hassan: {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Adrian Salter: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

The {5-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts} saw Hassan flop an open-ended straight draw which came in on the {9-Clubs} turn to leave Salter drawing dead and the {3-Spades} river was merely a formality. Hassan stacked up to 2.8 million after the hand while Salter headed off to the cage to collect AU$15,444 (~$10,560).
