Sutherland Scoops The Biggest Pot of the Tournament So Far to Take the Chip Lead
A player moved all in before the flop and he was called by both Robert Sutherland and Robert Harrison creating a monster pot already before the flop and heads-up side action for a side for containing over 50,000.
The flop was and Sutherland was the first to act. He put out a bet of 50,000 and Harrison thought about it for a bit, then called.
Both players checked on the turn and the came on the river. There, Sutherland moved all in for 128,000. Harrison dropped into the tank.
"Why did you check man?" Sutherland asked. "Why did you check?"
"When?" Harrison asked.
Harrison agonized over the decision, trying to talk himself through possible hands that Sutherland could have.
"Ace-king? Or ace-queen?" Harrison questioned. "Will you show if I fold?"
One of the players at the table let him know that Sutherland would have to show anyways, since a player was all in.
"True," Harrison said. "At least I get to see it."
Harrison was in the tank for nearly 4 minutes in total but settled on a call in the end. Sutherland turned up for a full house and Harrison could only show for two pair. The all in player mucked so Sutherland took down the biggest pot of the tournament so far, moving over 400,000 chips.
Harrison fell from the top of the leaderboard back down to the middle of the pack with just under 100,000 chips.
