Higgs Septuples Up
A short stacked Sam Higgs was under the gun. He moved all in for 1,350. He found calls from the player to his left, another early position player, the player in the cutoff, Gordon Huntly on the button, the small blind, and the big blind for a total of six callers.
"I've got the best hand at the moment," Higgs said.
"Why would you want the best hand?" Someone at the table asked.
The flop was and action checked around to the on the turn. There, the small blind bet 2,500. One player called in early position and Huntly called on the button.
The river was the and all three players checked again.
"Ship it!" Higgs said, tabling his for a set of sixes. The small blind showed his while the player in early position mucked. Huntly showed down his for two pair though, and that would earn him the side pot.
With that, Higgs septupled up his stack to nearly 10,000.
