Sam Khoueis Eliminated in 7th Place ($37,859)

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Sam Khoueis
Sam Khoueis

Isaac Lau opened on the cutoff to 50,000 and next to act on the button, Dejan Boskovic called. In the small blind, Sam Khoueis moved all in for 177,000 and action was back on Lau. Lau moved all in over the top for about 600,000 putting the action back on Boskovic. Boskovic didn't waste too much time before folding, leaving Khoueis and Lau heads up.

Sam Khoueis: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Isaac Lau: {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The flop was a disaster for Khoueis when it came down {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, giving Lau the better pair. Khoueis couldn't catch up on the {3-Clubs} turn or the {7-Hearts} river, so with that, he was eliminated, taking home $37,859 for seventh place. Lau took down the pot and moved over 800,000 after the pot.

Boskovic Wins the Largest Pot of the Day

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Dejan Boskovic raised to 45,000 from under the gun before Matt Wakeman re-raised to 140,000 from the button. Boskovic called after the blinds mucked their hands.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Boskovic checked. Wakeman bet out 85,000. Boskovic called.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and Boskovic once again checked. This time Wakeman fired out 260,000. Boskovic called almost immediately.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board and Boskovic quickly checked. Wakeman deliberated for almost a minute before giving up on the hand and opting to check.

Boskovic then rolled over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and took down the monster pot after Wakeman mucked his hand.

Joshua McCully: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Argyros was left extremely short with just three and a half big blinds when he failed to catch up with his ace-king. McCully earned the double and moved over 400,000 chips.

Dhingra Shoves on Spano

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Action was caught on the turn with a board of {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Robert Spano was first to act. There was a pot of 202,000 in the middle of the table and Spano decided to check with his {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for top pair. Gautam Dhingra turned the nuts however with his {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades} and he decided to put out a bet, making it 120,000. Spano thinks for a bit then calls.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} which brought a flush draw to completion, but it didn't deter Dhingra. He moved all in for 370,000, almost enough to cover Spano. Spano didn't waste too much time though, and he folded, allowing Dhringra to take down the pot to move over 800,000.

Wakeman Gets Value From Khoueis

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Sam Khoueis raised to 40,000 from the button and was called by Matt Wakeman in the big blind.

Both players checked the {4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop before the {10-Spades} dropped on the turn. Wakeman bet 22,000. Khoueis called.

The river brought the {7-Clubs} and both players quickly checked. Wakeman flipped over {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for king-high and surprisingly took down the pot after Khoueis reluctantly tabled {q-}{j-} for queen-high which was no good.
