Korenev On Crumbs

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Roman Korenev
Roman Korenev

Upeshka De Silva opened the pot and got calls from Roman Korenev on the button and Huihan Wu in the big blind.

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} and it was checked to Korenev on the button who bet 75,000. Wuin then moved all in from for 170,000 and De Silva moved all in behind for a similar stack to Korenev.

Korenev gave his decision a fair amount of though before calling.

Wu: {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
De Silva: {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Korenev: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The turn was the {5-Spades} and the river the {a-Hearts}.

Wuin got a triple-up while De Silva won the side pot. Korenev couldn’t hit his over or double gutter, but that’s the way the poker cookie crumbles and he was left with mere crumbs.
