Volpe Takes His Seat, Immediately Doubles Up

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Fresh off of busting the Main Event, Paul Volpe didn't take long to register for this event, and he couldn't have been sitting down for more than a few hands before he quickly found a double-up.

Volpe was heads up with Blair Hinkle on the turn of a board showing {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} when we arrived, and Hinkle checked to Volpe who bet out 3,000. Hinkle called and the {4-Clubs} completed the board. Hinkle checked again and Volpe thought for about 20 seconds before he tossed the rest of his stack in.

The bet was 6,100, which was more than half of Hinkle's remaining stack. Hinkle mulled it over for about a minute before he tossed in the call, and Volpe tabled {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for an overpair. Hinkle nodded his head and tried to muck, but his hand, {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}, was forced to be turned over in an all in situation.
