Bond Defends His Small Blind

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Frank Crivello raised to 250,000 from the cutoff and got calls from Christian Pham on the button and Matt Bond in the small blind.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Bond checked. Crivello bet 400,000 and both Pham and Bond called. The turn was the {4-Clubs} and both Bond and Crivello checked. Pham bet 675,000. Bond asked for a count and called, while Crivello folded.

The river was the {a-Spades} and Bond checked for a third time. Pham cut out chips and appeared like he was going to make a bet, but he put the stack of chips back in his pile and checked back. Bond tabled {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a pair of nines, and Pham looked back at his cards one last time before tossing them into the muck.

Bond raked in the pot and did a fist pump while looking over at his rail.
