Gaviao Battling

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Despite his short stack, Jonathan Gaviao has not been afraid to play some post-flop poker. He just got into a couple of hands that went to the river.

In the first hand, Gaviao opened to 8,000 in middle position. Steven van Zadelhoff called on the button, and the two checked through the turn of the {3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board. Gaviao bet 12,000 on the river and took it down.

A couple of hands later, Gaviao opened for 8,000 again, and the big blind defended. Gaviao bet 7,000 on the {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop and 11,000 on the {4-Hearts} turn. On the {3-Diamonds} river, both players checked, and Gaviao lost to {k-Spades}{9-Spades}, mucking his cards in disgust.
