Koon Forced to Chop with Aces

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Jason Koon opened early to 1,800 and saw plenty of action unfold behind him. A player on his immediate left made it 5,100, and Ivona Lungo reraised to 16,000. Koon asked to see his opponents' stacks when action got back to him, and he moved all in for 92,800. The original three-bettor, who had about 76,000, folded, but Lungo quickly called.

Koon: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Lungo: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

The {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop gave Koon a slight chance at scooping the pot, but the {j-Clubs} turn rendered the {4-Clubs} river meaningless.
