Thomas Gives It Up

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Mike Wattel completed with his {9-Diamonds}, and Perry Friedman called. Harry Thomas raised, and Wattel folded before Friedman called.

Thomas led out on fourth and fifth streets, with Friedman calling on each before Thomas checked sixth and Friedman bet. Thomas called, then checked dark heading into seventh.

Friedman: {X-}{X-} / {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {X-}
Thomas: {X-}{X-} / {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} / {X-}

"Let me look at my river!" announced Friedman in response to Thomas' dark check.

Friedman squeezed his seventh street and bet. Thomas tabled his {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and went into the think tank.

"I don't normally give them up this easy!" Thomas announced before folding.

"I couldn't remember if I started with six-six-five, or five-five-six. Either way I had a pair and straight draw on fifth street," added Friedman as he raked in the pot and moved to over 1.1 million in chips.
