Adam Owen "Plays Aggressively" Against Phil Hellmuth

Level 4 : 250/500, 50 ante

Adam Owen: {x-}{x-} / {4-}{8-}{2-}
Phil Hellmuth: {x-}{x-} / {2-}{5-}{5-}
Player 3: {x-}{x-} / {5-}{2-}{a-}

On fourth street, Player 3 led, and Phil Hellmuth called. Adam Owen raised, and both players called. On fifth, Hellmuth paired his five, and Owen bet after hitting a two. Player 3 and Hellmuth both folded.

"He plays really aggressively," said Hellmuth.

Hellmuth said that one time, Owen played so aggressively that Hellmuth folded the best hand and would have had Owen drawing dead. He went on to say that he won that tournament eventually.

"The cream rises," said Owen.

As Owen was collecting the pot, Eric Kurtzman sat down to Hellmuth's right. With the addition of Kurtzman and Mark Gregorich in the eight seat, this is easily one of the more stacked tables in the field.
