Bucherl Bubbles at the Hands of Smith

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Dan Smith, Konstantin Bucherl
Dan Smith, Konstantin Bucherl

After several confrontations between these two on the bubble, Konstantin Bucherl and Dan Smith went at it again. It was blind versus blind and the flop came {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Smith bet 60,000 from the small blind and Bucherl called. The {3-Diamonds} turn paired the board and Smith bet 150,000. After a long pause, Bucherl called.

The river was the {J-Clubs} and Smith bet the pot. That was enough to put Bucherl to an all-in decision for his remaining stack of right around 400,000. Bucherl thought it over for about a minute and moved his stack forward to call.

Smith tabled {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for twos full of threes, and Bucherl's {J-Hearts}{5-}{6-}{7-} was briefly tabled and mucked.

Bucherl is the bubble boy, and Dan Smith takes the chip lead. The remaining 31 players are in the money and will receive a minimum payout of $37,776.
