The flop came , the big blind checked, the under-the-gun player bet 5,000, and Coulier raised to 14,500. The big blind folded and the other player called.
The turn brought them the , the under-the-gun player checked, and Coulier shoved all in. His opponent asked for a count. The dealer counted it out and said Coulier still had 38,700 in total.
"If you have kings, I am screwed," his opponent said.
He asked the dealer a few times to confirm the amount and the dealer kept confirming it was 38,700. After a while, the clock was called. The floor came over and the dealer explained the situation. The dealer confirmed the player had had about two minutes to consider what to do. The floor advised the player that he would get 30 seconds plus a 10-second countdown to make a decision.
The floor started counting down and when he almost got to the end, Coulier's opponent decided to fold and showed .
"Jacks are no good?" he asked Coulier.
"Can't tell you," Coulier replied. "But if you folded jacks, they're probably not good."
He kept asking a few times what Coulier had. There was a bit of back and forth.
"I had sixes, but you don't believe me anyways." Coulier said. "I was going to get there in the end."
