Haxton and Deeb Keep it Small

Level 16 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Pot-Limit Omaha

Shaun Deeb raised to 25,000 from the hijack, Mike Matusow called from the cutoff, Isaac Haxton called from the small blind, and Ralph Perry called from the big blind.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}, and Haxton led for 25,000. Perry folded, Deeb called, and Matusow called. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, and Haxton bet 55,000. Deeb called, and Matusow folded. The river was the {Q-Clubs}, and both players checked.

Haxton showed {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{X-}{X-} for a set of nines, but Deeb had that beat with {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a nine-high straight.

"I think we were both very content to keep that one small," said Deeb.
