Bertrand Grospellier moved from the feature table to one of the outer tables, to the great joy of Phil Hellmuth who was seeking revenge for some hands late last night.

Having just sat down, Grospellier opened the hijack to 215,000. Small blind Igor Kurganov shoved for 895,000 total and big blind Hellmuth folded after some Hollywooding. Grospellier instantly called.

Igor Kurganov: {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Bertrand Grospellier: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

While Liv Boeree on the rail asked for an ace like only Davidi Kitai's girlfriend had done before ("Ace! Ace! Ace!), it was to no avail. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Kurganov said his goodbyes.
