Matt Stout Comes Out On Top

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Matt Stout
Matt Stout

The action was folded to Matt Stout in the cutoff who raised to 7,000 and was called by Thomas Boivin on the button and Barny Boatman in the big blind. The flop came {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Boatman checked to Stout who bet 10,500. Boivin called and Boatman raised to 23,000. Both Stout and Boivin stuck around to see the turn.

The turn card was the {7-Diamonds} and all three players checked to the {j-Clubs} river. Everyone checked again and Boatman showed {a-}{4-}, followed by Stout's {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Boivin mucked and Stout's two pairs with an eight kicker proved to be enough to take down the pot.
