Butteroni's Bluff Attempt Fails

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Federico Butteroni raised to 5,000 from the cutoff and was called by Georgios Sotiropoulos in the small blind. The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and the action was checked to Butteroni who bet 3,400. Sotiropoulos called and the turn brought the {5-Spades}. Again, Sotiropoulos check-called a bet of 11,400 from Butteroni.

The river brought the {2-Diamonds} and Sotiropoulos checked for the third time. Butteroni bet 19,000 and Sotiropoulos thought for a couple minutes before calling. Butteroni tabled {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Sotiropoulos showed {k-Spades}{9-Clubs} to scoop the pot.
