Player of the Year Update

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Mike Leah has joined the field in today's event after busting the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-or-Better Championship. John Racener has been in the field for a little while, and James Obst was in the field at the start of the tournament earlier today. With Daniel Negreanu now, the four players make up numbers three through six in the WSOP Player of the Year race.

The top two players, Ray Henson and Ryan Hughes, are both still in the PLO/8 Championship and are about seven places out of the money in that event. Hughes and Henson have a shot at extending their lead, and you can track their runs by following that event here.

The players in this event are all going to do their best to maintain their positions and hopefully not lose too much ground to the front runners.
