Upeshka De Silva Wins Event #3 - $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout

Upeshka De Silva started the 48th World Series of Poker off with a bang by winning his second bracelet in Event #3: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout. De Silva won a first-place prize of $229,923, and with a couple more cashes this summer has pushed his lifetime tournament winnings over $1.8 million.

De Silva is seated in the spillover section of Amazon Orange, together with Konstantinos Nanos. In a recent hand it was Nanos who opened to 300 from middle position and got two callers. De Silva then three-bet to 1450 from the small blind, and after Nanos tank-folded the others snap-folded to give De Silva the winner.
