Joseph Wins with River Pot Bet

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Jeremy Joseph
Jeremy Joseph

Jeremy Joseph opened to 110,000 from middle position and Josh Arieh called in the small blind.

The flop fell {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and was checked through by both players as the {7-Diamonds} landed on the turn and both players checked again.

The river landed the {J-Clubs} and Arieh checked to Joseph who bet the pot of 260,000.

Arieh deliberated for close to two minutes before eventually tossing his cards to the muck.

Henson and Yockey Chop

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Ray Henson opened to 100,000 from middle position and Bryce Yockey called in the small blind to see a {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop.

Both players checked as the {2-Spades} landed on the turn and Yockey led out for 125,000. Henson called and, when the river landed the {6-Clubs}, both players checked.

Yockey tabled his {K-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} for two pairs as Henson tabled his {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for the nut low to see the pot chopped up.

Roth Doubles Through Yockey

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Christopher Roth
Christopher Roth

Christopher Roth raised to 100,000 early and got one call. Bryce Yockey reraised to 200,000 in the big blind and Roth thought awhile and slid all his chips in. Ray Henson folded and Yockey called.

Roth: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Yockey: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, pairing Roth's seven. The turn was a {10-Clubs}, so Yockey added a wrap to his equity and called for a high card.

"Low card, low card!" urged Roth. He got his wish as a {3-Hearts} fell, giving him two pairs and the nut low for a double. Yockey sent over 325,000.

Ferguson Forces Arieh Fold on Turn

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Josh Arieh limped in from early position and Chris Ferguson completed the small blind as Kate Hoang checked her option in the big.

The flop fell {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and both Ferguson and Hoang checked to Arieh who bet 80,000. Ferguson called and Hoang folded as the {J-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Ferguson bet out 150,000 and Arieh kicked his cards to the muck.

Henson Doubles Through Arieh

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Ray Henson
Ray Henson

Josh Arieh raised to 90,000 in middle position and Ray Henson made it 330,000 on the button, a pot-sized raise. Arieh moved all in and Henson called off for about 200,000 more.

Arieh: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Henson: {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Spades}

Henson flopped a jack as {2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Clubs} hit the felt, and Arieh watched helplessly as a {j-Diamonds} hit the turn to give Henson a big lead. The {2-Clubs} river meant he doubled up, and Arieh sent over 590,000.

Arieh Gets Value from Henson

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Ray Henson bet 75,000 from early position after the blinds checked to him on {6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, and only small blind Josh Arieh called. Both checked the {5-Spades} and Arieh fired 150,000 on the {a-Hearts} river. Henson called without delay.

"Ace-six," Arieh said, tabling {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Aces full was a winner, and Arieh took the first showdown of the final table.

Bruce Yamron Eliminated in 9th Place ($34,959)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Bruce Yamron - 9th Place
Bruce Yamron - 9th Place

Kate Hoang raised to 75,000, and Bruce Yamron potted on the button for 270,000. Hoang called and then bet the last 100,000 on an {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop. Yamron quickly called.

Yamron: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Hoang: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The kings were in the lead for Hoang and two high cards would send her the whole pot. The {9-Spades} turn and {q-Diamonds} river were just the ticket, and Yamron took his payout stub.

"You played great, sir," Christopher Roth said.
