Ferguson Doubles Through Krueger

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Chris Ferguson potted to 350,000 under the gun. Quentin Krueger called in the small blind and then crammed all in for Ferguson's last 415,000 on the {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop.

Krueger: {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Ferguson: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Krueger had a four-way low draw, but the {10-Spades} and {10-Clubs} did nothing for him, and Ferguson doubled up to shouts of "Jesus!" from the rail.

Joseph Folds to Arieh

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Josh Arieh limped the button and Quentin Krueger called in the small blind as Jeremy Joseph checked his option.

The dealer spread a {2-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{A-Clubs} flop and both Krueger and Joseph checked to Arieh who bet 175,000.

Krueger folded, but Joseph pushed out a stack of 25,000-denomination chips amounting to a bet of 500,000.

"Pot!" bellowed Arieh which would be enough to put Joseph all in for his remaining 1,265,000.

Joseph thought for a little before eventually tossing his cards to the muck as Arieh climbed to 3.7 million in chips.

Yockey Gives it Up

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Josh Arieh bet 325,000 in a blinds battle on a board of {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, and Bryce Yockey check-raised to 700,000. Arieh thought a bit and called. On the {k-Spades} river, Yockey checked. Arieh put him all in for a little over 700,000.

"This any good?" Yockey asked as he flashed {q-}{j-} for a straight before mucking.

"You made your hand!" Arieh said with a laugh.

"It isn't good though," Yockey said, flatly.

"Then why'd you put all that money in?"

"I really thought that was going to work, too," Yockey said with a smile a few moments later.

Christopher Roth Eliminated in 6th Place ($78,569)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Christopher Roth - 6th place
Christopher Roth - 6th place

The action folded to Christopher Roth in the small blind, and he raised pot to 300,000. Quentin Krueger pushed out a big stack of chips. Roth committed his final 225,000, and the cards were tabled.

Roth: {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Krueger: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

With Roth at risk, the {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Spades} board didn't give him enough help, and he was consequently eliminated in sixth place for $78,569. Krueger climbed to 3.5 million in chips.

Yockey Yells a Curse

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Quentin Krueger raised to 225,000 in middle position and got called by both blinds. Everyone checked the flop, bringing a board of {2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} on the turn. Bryce Yockey bet 400,000. Josh Arieh folded, but Krueger was stickier and called. Both players checked the {10-Diamonds} river.

"Two pair," Krueger announced.

"Which ones?"

"Tens and deuces."

"F***!" Yockey yelled, mucking when Krueger turned up {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

Ray Henson Eliminated in 7th Place ($58,612)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
Ray Henson - 7th place
Ray Henson - 7th place

Bryce Yockey limped the hijack, Quentin Krueger called in the small blind, and Ray Henson checked the big.

The flop fell {Q-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{7-Hearts}, and Krueger checked to Henson, who bet 150,000. Yockey folded, and with the action back on Krueger, he announced a raise of the pot. Henson announced he was all in for 960,000, and Krueger called, having him covered by roughly 80,000.

Krueger: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Henson: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{3-Spades}

With Henson at risk and holding top set, he needed to fade any ace, jack, ten, or nine to remain alive.

The {8-Diamonds} on the turn changed little, but when the {A-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Henson was eliminated in seventh place for a $58,612 payday. Krueger moved to over 2.2 million in chips.

Kate Hoang Eliminated in 8th Place ($44,738)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
Kate Hoang
Kate Hoang

Jeremy Joseph limped in from middle position, and Kate Hoang jammed for 185,000. Big blind Christopher Roth called, as did Joseph. On the {2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, Roth checked and folded to a jam.

Joseph: {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Hoang: {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Hoang needed high cards that weren't clubs. She got one on the {q-Spades} turn, but the {8-Clubs} river gave Joseph a flush and a qualifying low, eliminating Hoang and ending the hours-long eight-handed stalemate.

Nines for Arieh

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Josh Arieh limped in under the gun, and Quentin Krueger also called. Chris Ferguson called on the button, Kate Hoang completed from the small blind, and Bryce Yockey checked his option.

The flop landed {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{K-Spades}, and a bet of 325,000 from Arieh was enough to coax a series of folds from his opponent.

Once Arieh was pushed the pot to move to 2,340,000, he showed his {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

Henson Doubles Through Arieh

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
Ray Henson
Ray Henson

Ray Henson and Josh Arieh got all in preflop, each holding aces. Henson had {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Arieh {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. The pot was locked up as a chop on the turn, as {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades} hit the board.

The very next hand, Arieh raised to 225,000 again, and Henson again jammed.

"I don't have near as good of a hand this time," Arieh said, calling.

"I don't have near as good of a hand, either."

Henson: {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Arieh: {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

The {7-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop gave Henson a big lead with trips. However, Arieh spiked the {6-Clubs} on the turn to make a boat. Henson's best chance was for a low card to hit for a chop, and that's what happened when the {5-Clubs} fell. However, that also improved him to sevens full on the high end for a scoop and a double, though the players at the table didn't realize it immediately.
