Cowboys To the Rescue For Zitman

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Terry Zitzman was all in before the flop for his last 61,000 and had picked up a call from a big stack at the table.

Zitzman showed his {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and, while his opponent showed {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Zitman still stared intently as his tournament life was on the line.

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

The kings held and Zitman doubled.

Michael Hallen Eliminates Neil Scott in Three-Way All-In

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Hallen, Neil Scott, and the player in the big blind got all the chips in before the flop. Scott had approximately 70,000 and Hallen had both opponents well covered. Hallen held {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, the big blind held {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}, and Scott tabled {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

Hallen was way behind preflop, but the board ran out {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, and he hit a set to send both his opponents to the cage.

Dealers Choice next for Walter Treccarichi

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Walter Treccarichi
Walter Treccarichi

We arrived at the table to see that Walter Treccarichi had fewer chips than what he started the day with. He explained that a player at the table only had 1,000 left and won six all-ins in a row, including two of them against Treccarichi. Treccarichi moved all in right after for 55,000. The player on the button called him, who had him covered.

Walter Treccarichi had {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} in his hand but his opponent was ahead with {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. The flop {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} gave Treccarichi a flush draw, but the {8-Hearts} on the turn and the {6-Hearts} river did not help him.

Next, Treccharichi plans to jump into the Dealers Choice and Tag Team events.

Matt Affleck Eliminates a Foe

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

A player in middle position limped in, the small blind completed, and Matt Affleck raised from the big blind to 200,000, putting the middle-position player to a decision for the remainder of his stack. He called, the small blind folded, and the two players tabled their hands.

Affleck held {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and his opponent held {A-Spades}{9-Spades}. Affleck was an underdog preflop, but the board ran out {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} to give him a boat, eliminate his opponent, and put his stack over the 500,000-chip mark.

Hunter Frey was in the big blind and called an open.

The dealer fanned {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

Frey checked it to the raiser who continued for 37,000. Frey responded with a raise to 88,000 and was then met by three-bet to 139,000. Frey moved all in, which finally convinced his opponent to let his hand go, and Frey collected the pot without showdown and grew his stack to over 600,000.

Christopher Haydt Building a Stack

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Christopher Haydt opened from under the gun for 25,000 and George Boyce moved all in directly to his left for just over 150,000.

The rest of the table folded and Haydt sighed as he eyed up Boyce’s stack before eventually deciding to call.

Haydt tuned over his {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} before seeing Boyce table his {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} with the turn delivering the dagger to the heart of Boyce’s tournament hopes.

It was bad news for the unlucky Boyce, but the pot propelled Haydt to close to the million-chip mark.
