Safiya Umerova Hunts for Bracelet Number Two

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Safiya Umerova has taken her seat at the same table as Kelly Winterhalter and Paul Sokoloff.

Umerova won her first World Series of Poker bracelet last summer after defeating Niall Farrell heads-up in the $1,500 Shootout. It was her first trip to the Series, after frequenting the poker circuit for a while. She looks to win another and make this the summer of second bracelets after Upeshka De Silva and Benjamin Zamani have already locked up their second-career bracelets.

Umerova enters the field with several more notable female players, including Jessica Dawley, Julie Cornelius, Lizzy Harrison, and Kelly Winterhalter, just to name a few.

Jeff Gross Eliminated by Stephen Nussrallah

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

Jeff Gross moved all in for his last 4,025, and Stephen Nussrallah moved all in for 5,100 from the cutoff. The player in the small blind called.

Gross tabled {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Nussrallah showed {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, and the small blind revealed {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Gross and Nussrallah were both at risk, as the small blind had them both covered by a decent amount.

The flop came {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, and Gross paired his ten, giving him some outs to stay alive. The turn was the {4-Clubs}, and the river was the {9-Diamonds}, sending Gross to the rail and giving Nussrallah a triple-up, including the blinds and antes.
