Robert Hankins Rivers an Ace to Double Up

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Robert Hankins

Robert Hankins started the action with a raise to 125,000 from under the gun, the player in the cutoff three-bet to 325,000, Hankins four-bet for the majority of his stack, the cutoff moved all in, and Hankins called to put himself at risk. However, when the cards were turned over, he found himself way behind with {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} against his opponent's {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

The {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop was no help to Hankins, and neither was the {2-Hearts} turn, but the {A-Spades} river was exactly what he needed to double up.
