Wasserson Calls Monnette's Hand, Calls Anyway

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Wasserson: {x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} / {x-}
Monnette: {x-}{x-} / {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} / {x-}

On fifth street, John Monnette checked over to Eric Wasserson. Wasserson bet, and Monnette Raised. Wasseron called, putting the total bets in front of each player at 7,200 apiece. On sixth, both players checked.

Monnette sweated his card on seventh.

"Oh no, please don't tell me you filled up," Wasserson said as he studied Monnette.

Monnette then bet.

"Jesus Christ," Wasserson said. "Wait, I could win."

Wasserson thought for a bit and eventually decided to call. Monnette showed {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for a full house, and Wasserson mucked.

"I knew you filled up on the river," Wasserson said. "And I called with trips anyways."

Wasserson was forced to send over 9,600 to Monnette and looked visibly frustrated doing so.
