Hawkins Has No Hesitation

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Maurice Hawkins
Maurice Hawkins

Maurice Hawkins was under the gun and Steven Morris was in early position. Both players had a bet of 157,000 in front of them being brought into the middle.

The flop was {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Hawkins check-called Morris's bet of 130,000 very quickly.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Hawkins checked again. Morris bet 215,000 and Hawkins snap-called and almost beat him into the pot.

The river was the {3-Spades} and Hawkins checked for a third time. Morris elected to give up at this point and checked as well. Hawkins tabled {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Morris's cards quickly hit the muck.

Jason Trial Defines 'Chip and a Chair'

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Marc Lome moved all in from the hijack for 286,000 and Jason Trial moved in over the top for 291,000.

Lome was ahead with {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and was flipping with Trial's {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. The board ran out {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Lome doubled up, leaving Trial with just a single 5,000 chip.

In the very next hand, Trial paid the 4,000 ante and moved all in for his last 1,000. The player on the button moved all in over top for 250,000 and got no action on the side. Trial tabled {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}, up against {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades}, with Trial hitting an off-suit ace to chip up to 34,000.

In the next hand, Trial moved all in for 30,000 after paying the ante and the cutoff moved all in. Trial tabled {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} up against {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}. The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} and Trial made two pairs to double up yet again.

Another loud cheer came from his table, and he informed us that he tripled up with king-queen and is now sitting on about 450,000.
