Waxman's Stack is Dangerously Growing

Matt Waxman
Matt Waxman

Matt Waxman is looking for his second WSOP gold bracelet and his first since 2013. He came into Day 2 with an average stack and has continued to rake in pots and build his chip stack, all of which are dangerous for his opponents.

In a recent hand, the board read {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts} with around 25,000 in the pot. Waxman was in the big blind and led out for 15,000. His opponent, sitting in the cutoff position, called, and the {9-Diamonds} fell on the river. Waxman moved all in, which was considered a pot-sized bet of 52,000. His opponent only had around 32,000 remaining and thought for a couple minutes before deciding to fold.

Waxman scooped another pot and is currently sitting on a healthy, above-average stack.
