Valentin Vornicu Can't Get Value

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

On a flop of {9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Valentin Vornicu called a bet from Paul Tedeschi. The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Vornicu checked to Tedeschi who bet. Vornicu called. The river was the {5-Diamonds} and Vornicu checked to Tedeschi. Tedeschi followed up with a check behind.

"Oh man," Vornicu said. "I should've value bet." He turned over {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for a straight and the nut low.

Tedeschi leaned back in his chair and checked his cards. After counting to see if he also had a qualifying low, he pitched his hand into the muck, awarding the pot to Vornicu.
