Jewell Flips One to the Rail

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

Kurt Jewell raised to 600 from under the gun and the player in the cutoff moved all in for 2,625. Jewell thought for a moment and decided to call.

Jewell tabled his cards first, revealing {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and the cutoff was at risk with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a coin flip.

The flop came {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the cutoff was still ahead with two eights. The turn, however, was the {k-Clubs} and Jewell took the lead with a pair of kings. The river was the {5-Clubs} and jewell earned the pot and the elimination.

While Jewell was stacking his chips, another player at the table said, "Well I'm glad I saw that. Now I know you're a better poker player than I am." Jewell smiled and continue to stack his newly acquired chips.
