Peter Hengsakul Finds an Early Double

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

With about 1,275 in the pot on a board reading {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, the player under the gun checked. Peter Hengsakul was on the button and bet 1,000. His opponent then check-raised all in, and Hengsakul called.

Hengsakul was the player at risk holding {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for the nut-flush draw, and his opponent tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Hengsakul also had two overcards to go with his flush draw, and hit one of them when the {k-Spades} peeled off on the turn. The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Hengsakul doubled through, leaving his opponent with very few chips.

With over $1.3 million in earnings, Hengsakul looks to secure his first WSOP bracelet after finishing as runner-up in a $1,500 no-limit hold'em event in 2013 for an impressive $325,780.
