Daniel Negreanu and Rainer Kempe Play "Let's Make a Deal"
Rainer Kempe opened to 1,150 in middle position. The button called, Daniel Negreanu called in the small blind, and the big blind came along, too.
On the flop, it checked around to button, and he bet 3,800. Negreanu called, and so did Kempe. The turn was the , and Negreanu bet out 5,700. Kempe called, and the button folded. Negreanu and Kempe were heads-up to the river, and Negreanu checked. After a couple minutes, Kempe bet 4,100 and Negreanu moved all in for 10,550.
Kempe let out an, "Ah," in surprise and thought it over. After a long while, he pushed his cards forward and announced a fold.
Kempe kept his cards in front of him and asked Negreanu if they could both show. Negreanu said he would be blogging about the hand, so Kempe could find out from that.
Kempe still didn't release, and Negreanu proposed another deal: He would show if Kempe would show one to him in the future. Kempe was hesitant, but eventually, he agreed.
Negreanu tabled for the flopped flush and the second nuts on the river, and Kempe now owes him one.
