Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Georgios Sotiropoulos opened from middle position for 32,000 before Christopher Frank three-bet to 93,000 from the button and the blinds folded.

Sotiropoulos thought for a couple of minutes before he four-bet to 285,000.

Frank folded and showed the {4-Clubs} saying, “So bad, playing ranges.”

Buddiga Takes Huge Pot from Rosenberg

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Two players limped in, and Ron Rosenberg raised to 60,000 in the small blind. Ryan Leng, who limped under the gun, called, as did Pratyush Buddiga on the button. Rosenberg bet 100,000 on the {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, and Buddiga was the only taker. Buddiga called another barrel of 225,000 on the {5-Diamonds} turn, then both checked the {6-Spades} river.

Rosenberg rolled over {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}, but Buddiga had outflopped him with {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and took the pot.

Christopher Kostoulas - 20th Place

Christopher Kostoulas was all in from the big blind for what looked like about 340,000 when we got to his table. He was at risk against Kami Hudson in the small blind.

Hudson: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Kostoulas: {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

The flop brought {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, giving some help to Kostoulas with a flush draw. Red bricks fell on the turn ({j-Diamonds}) and river ({7-Diamonds}) though, and Hudson eliminated Kostoulas.

Chang Luo moved all in from under the gun and it folded to Melissa Gillett in the big blind who called with the bigger stack to put Luo at risk.

Chang Luo: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Melissa Gillett: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out a dramatic {j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, the flop shooting Luo ahead but the final two cards giving Gillett trips to finally finish off Luo.

Pratyush Buddiga opened for a min-raise in the hijack, and Rory Hayes jammed from the big blind. Buddiga called instantly and flipped over {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. Hayes was at risk for about 275,000 with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}. No nine appeared as {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs} rolled off the deck, and Hayes is the first elimination of the day.

Frank Checks a Set Back

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Tom Hall and Christopher Frank played a three-bet pot with the former having raised under the gun and the latter reraising on the button. Both checked a {7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop, and the {j-Spades} hit the turn. Hall bet 90,000 and Frank called. The river {5-Diamonds} made four to a straight, and both players wound up checking.

Hall turned over {a-}{10-}, but it was no match for the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} held by Frank.

Melissa Gillett opened the action and Chang Luo moved all in from the button for 153,000. The blinds folded and after asking for a count, Gillett called.

Chang Luo: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Melissa Gillett: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

“I’ve got to win one race,” Luo said. “You’ve lost a few,” another player said in agreement, referring to two hands late last night in which Luo lost flips.

The board ran out {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts}, meaning Luo did win one by hitting his eight to double through Gillett.
