Ace-High Call by Eluterio Rodriguez

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

On a board of {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, Kelley Brown was the first to act. He put out a bet of 150,000 and was called by Eluterio Rodriguez who was on the button.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Brown bet again, this time for 300,000. Rodriguez thought for a while.

"Bad call," he said, tossing in one chip and turning up {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

"No," Brown said. "It's a good call. I got counterfeited."

Brown reluctantly turned up {8-Spades}{9-Spades}. He was in fact counterfeited and that meant that Rodriguez's ace-high call was correct, and he took down the pot.
