Wong Climbing

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

Hold'em

Jerry Wong limped the cutoff and Jason Mercier raised the small blind to 12,000. Paul Volpe called in the big and Wong came along also.

Mercier bet 6,000 on the {2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and Volpe dropped out as Wong called.

The turn of the {7-Clubs} saw a check from Mercier before Wong bet 12,000. Mercier called and, when the river landed the {3-Clubs}, he check-called a 12,000-chip bet from Wong.

Wong tabled his {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for top pair and Mercier mucked. Wong is now closing in on 500,000 in chips while Mercier tumbles down to 340,000.
