After tangling with Don Zewin over the past hour, Frank Kassela finally fell to him. Zewin was showing {9-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-}{A-} with one of his other cards covered while Kassela's hand was already mucked and Zewin was scooping the chips. The Day 1 chip leader hit the rail in 16th place, just before the money bubble.

"I guess I should've raised you," Kassela said as he was making his exit.

Duong caught a {10-} on sixth as Kassela found a {Q-}.

On seventh, Duong found a {7-} and Kassela improved with the {4-} to double to 51,000 in chips.

Zhigalov showed {A-}{6-} under while Gorodinsky showed {A-}{3-}. Gorodinsky looked to be in good shape, but his board completed with a {10-}{5-} and pairing him on the {A-} seventh street. Meanwhile, Zhigalov pulled {2-}{7-}{6-}, completing a nine-low and that was good enough to beat Gorodinsky's ten-low and eliminate him from the tournament.
