Hawkins Can't Bear to Watch the River

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Maurice Hawkins raised to 63,000 from early position and Chris Bolek moved all in for his remaining chips from middle position. When the action folded back to Hawkins, he didn't waste any time putting his chips in and rolling over {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}. He was ahead of Bolek's {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} but there were still five cards to come.

Bolek picked up a flush draw on the turn with the board reading {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Hawkins didn't want to watch the river. Instead Hawkins chose to watch his opponent's reaction. The {4-Spades} came on the river and Bolek got up from his seat. "I must have made it!" Hawkins said as his opponent was taken to the cash cage to collect his money.
