Jason Mercier Eliminated in 30th Place ($6,214)

Mark Radoja opened from the button for 46,000, and Jason Mercier called from the big blind. They both started with similar stack sizes and were not very deep,

The flop was {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}, and Mercier check-called a bet of 40,000 from Radoja.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, and again, Mercier check-called — this time for a bet of 100,000.

The river was the {5-Spades}, and Mercier checked.

“How much do you have behind?” Radoja wanted to know. Mercier had around 120,000. “All in,” Radoja declared and pushed his stack forward.

Mercier sighed and seemed to mutter that was a bad river card for him. Close to five minutes passed before he called.

Radoja tabled {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and the dealer announced the ace-high flush. A bad river card, indeed, and once the stacks were counted down, Mercier was confirmed eliminated in 30th place.
