McEwen Leads the Pack in Event #95: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty No-Limit Hold'em
Day 2 of Event #95: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty No-Limit Hold’em begins at 12 p.m. local time in the Horseshoe Ballroom Red section.
Out of the 1,124 players who registered, only 167 are returning to compete for their share of the $1,979,713 prize pool and the $313,370 first-place prize.
The bubble burst late into the evening, with the top 169 players making the money. Preston McEwen leads the field with 786,000 chips. McEwen could surpass $2,000,000 in live tournament earnings with a 4th place finish or better. Brazilian Luan Coelho bagged the second-biggest stack with 699,000 and rounding out the top three is Yang Lei (616,000).
Poker Hall of Famers Jack McClelland (209,000), Erik Seidel (95,000), and Mori Eskandani (46,000) still have bounties to be claimed but won't go down easily.

Thirteen Hall of Famers entered this event, including Berry Johnston, Barry Greenstein, Barbara Enright, Tom McEvoy, and Johnny Chan, but none of these advanced to Day 2.
Quite a few notables still grace the field, including bracelet winner Rafael Reis (365,000), $25k Fantasy pick Adam Hendrix (320,000) and author Maria Konnikova (192,000). Returning players are guaranteed a minimum payout of $3,923.
Day 2 will feature 40-minute levels with a 15-minute break every two levels. Blinds for Day 2 will start at 4,000/8,000 with an 8,000 big blind ante. Play will continue until a winner is determined.
