Rollercoaster for Leng
Hand 1
On a three-way flop of J♠5♦J♦, Thomas Pohnke and Ryan Leng check, a player bets 3,000, Pohnke calls and Leng check-raised to 22,000.
The original raiser quickly got out of the way but Pohnke called, which earned him some side-eye from Leng.
The two players then checked through the 2♥ turn and went straight to the 9♦ river.
Pohnke checked, Leng bet 20,000, and Pohnke check-raised to 80,000. Leng shook his head but quickly called, only to be shown the stone-cold nuts K♣J♣9♠4♥. Leng was visibly frustrated and tossed in his cards while the substantial pot was shipped to Pohnke.
Hand 2
On a three-way turn of 7♦5♥2♣9♦, a player bet 6,000 and was immediately raised to 40,000 by another player, Leng cold-called, and the original raiser folded.
The river came the 7♣ and Leng le-jammed, covering his opponent who went into the tank. After almost a full minute, the player made the call for his tournament life.
"Full house," Leng announced and flipped over K♦10♦9♥7♥ for sevens full of nines.
His opponent was in utter disbelief and looked at his cards one more time before he crumpled them in his hand (enough to call for a new setup) and threw them on the table, showing A♣J♠8♣6♠ for the turned straight.
